buttonBoggabilla lies just below the Queensland border, 13km south of Goondiwindi and 115km north of Moree on the Newell Highway. The name Boggabilla is derived from the Gomeroi language and means "full of creeks". Boggabilla has a Population of 650, 58 percent of residents identify as Indigenous being part of the Kamilaroi tribe of the Plains. The rich fertile soil is ideally suited to agriculture with cotton, broadacre crops, and beef cattle being the primary industries. Boggabilla is home to the Euraba Artists and Papermakers, a business fully owned and operated by the local Gomeroi people. They use 100 per cent cotton offcuts from the local clothing industry to produce cotton rag pulp for their paper. Boggabilla also has a motel and Town & Country Club.
