About Us
Speech Pathologists assist adults and children who have difficulty communicating and/or swallowing due to child developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia, and hearing loss, as well as other problems that affect speech and language.
Our local Speech Pathologist diagnoses and provides therapy for conditions relating to:
• Speech - the oral form of communication and the production of sounds and articulation
• Language - a whole system of words and symbols – written, spoken, or expressed with gestures and body language – that is used to communicate meaning
• Voice - the basic sound for speech and singing. People may experience changes to their voice e.g., sounding hoarse, husky, being too loud or too quiet
• Fluency – This includes stuttering and cluttering
• Multimodal Communication – Communication using sign, communication boards and other devices
• Swallowing – swallowing food, fluid, and saliva management

• Home visits (where necessary)

• Kindy and School visits
• Aged-care facility visits
