Good hearing makes life a lot better for learning and understanding, but sometimes children may have trouble hearing. Having a child’s hearing checked early is best to identify any problems and have them addressed as soon as possible.

Doctors and Health Practitioners perform hearing health screening for:

• Children 0-5 Years
• School aged children
• Adults

Follow up treatment and care is available, and referrals may be made to appropriate specialists for further treatment.

Services include:

• Otoscopy to examine the inner ear
• Tympanometry to test the middle ear function
• Audiometry to measure how well a person can actually hear
• Education and health promotion linked to healthy ears and ear care
• Referrals to Audiologists and Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists
