We are an NDIS provider with a mission to Empower our community. We enable to people thrive by developing their connections with the people and the world around them. We offer Mentoring, Support Work, Employment Supports, and a range of other NDIS Funded services. We are compassionate, understanding, and sensitive in the way we engage with all people. How can we help?

Bailey Hames (CEO) started Empowering Connection Group to create the organisation he wish he had when he was on the NDIS. Thanks to his lived experience with a disability, his mission is to empower people with heart felt and genuine supports. He created this organisation to provide people with what they need, when they need it, in order to make them feel comfortable and supported. Empowering Connection.

What are core supports?

The NDIS describe core supports as supports that help you with everyday activities, your current disability-related needs and to work towards your goals.

How do I know what core supports I have in my NDIS Plan?

One of the major benefits of the Core budget is that it is completely flexible. This means that you can use your Core Supports budget for any combination of:

• Personal Care
• Meal preparation
• Consumables
• Supports in Employment

SOCIAL SUPPORT

SOCIAL SUPPORT TO HELP YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR COMMUNITY

We have a fantastic team of Social Support workers who can help you achieve your goals and access the community.

We can assist with whole range of things, some common examples include:

• Visiting Friends and Family
• Active hobbies, such as bike riding, skiing or kayaking
• Playing support, such as tennis, spring or basketball
• going out, for instance to the movies or a concert
• going places for fun, such as shopping, visiting a museum, or even getting coffee
• Relaxing, like meditation or yoga
• learning new skills, like dance, art classes or quilting

EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS

SUPPORTS TO DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL

We support people with disability and employers to help people discover their potential.

Services under Employment Supports Include:

• Resume and career advice.
• Individual mentoring.
• Ongoing 1:1 on-job support.
• Suitable work experience placement that matches skills and abilities.
• Help with identifying, applying and accessing suitable tertiary studies.
• Assistance securing entry level employment while studies are completed.
• Assistance to access courses such as Barista and Responsible Service of Alcohol.
• Help identifying opportunities for traineeships and apprenticeships.
